Brief Company History                 THE P.E.S.T. ® MACHINE In 1963, armed with a Masters degree in Zoology and Entomology from Oklahoma State University, Dick Parker started his own pest control company in Ponca City, OK. Parker dreamed of big things for his small business, and spent considerable time trying to devise easier and more effective methods of pest control. Within a few short years he had addressed the problem of ineffective rodent baits by developing Rat Bait, which soon became famous on a local level, outselling other products by a margin of 10 to 1. When the company diversified into the horticultural business in 1967, Dick Parker went to work again. He developed a lawn treatment program to control weeds and fertilize, and invented a drift-proof lawn sprayer that safely and effectively applied herbicides, even in the windy conditions of Oklahoma. These advancements contributed greatly to the company growth throughout the state during the seventies. The dreams began to become reality in 1981 when Dick and his son Brad, who joined the firm in 1974, learned of a company making the unheard of claim of 100% cockroach elimination in restaurants, with a money back-guarantee! It was soon discovered that these incredible results were being achieved with procedures that were questionable from both a legal and safety standpoint.  Our team went to work, combining the best of the old with the newest technology in an attempt to realize this goal.
