TIPS for CONTROL
Budget Pest Control achieves total elimination, at a fraction of the cost by dispensing boric acid powder in a fine, even flow, imparting an electrostatic charge that enables the powder to stick to virtually to any surface for an indefinite period of time, with our patented P.E.S.T. ® Machine.

PEST CONTROL HOTLINE BY ALAN CARUBA

THE P.E.S.T.® Machine...
ACHIEVING PEST ELIMINATION!

The task of pest control these days requires (1) pest elimination and (2) a safe way to achieve that goal. There is little tolerance any more for a few stray cockroaches or any other insect pest, but neither is there a tolerance for a pesticide odor or hazard.

That's why, every so often, when a truly innovative means to achieve this comes along, it demands every-one's attention. Such an innovation is the P.E.S.T. ® Machine, a tool which imparts an electrostatic charge to boric acid as It blows it into all those wall voids, cracks and crevices, all of the places where cockroaches and other insect pests lurk and breed. Ironically, boric acid is an old, tried and true pesticide,  known to overcome the problems of chemical "resistance" and one, in addition, which is less costly than newer pesticides being introduced.

"It's the difference between night and day servicing with the P.E.S.T. ® Machine and conventional methods," says Guy Halverson of El Paso's Bug-A-Boo Pest Control, one of the pest control operators (PCO) that licensed its use. Halverson has been a pest control professional for nearly eighteen years, until two years ago, his market area was his hometown. Since then, however, we has expanded throughout all of Texas and New Mexico. "Word of the P.E.S.T. ® Machine has been circulating throughout the Industry for several years. Interviews with several of its licensees suggests that It won't be too long before its use becomes far more widespread.

A HOST OF ADVANTAGES

The P.E.S.T. ® Machine is the  first patented crack and crevice duster designed specifically for pest elimination service on commercial accounts. Among Its advantages are: The elimination of technician fatigue because it's fitted with two oversized wheels that provide easy handling for the thirty-five pound device. Once in place, its thirty foot hose and small valve, weighing a few ounces, eliminates carrying a sprayer about, while providing the technician with the ability to regulate the pressure from as low as 2 psi for small crack and crevice work to as much as 20 psi for treating wall voids or sub-cabinet voids.

Its unique feature of imparting an electrostatic charge makes all the difference between whether the boric acid dust adheres to the surfaces it contracts or whether, as is commonly the case with other dusts, it floats to the bottom of a treated area and remains there, missing the bulk of the cockroach population.

Developed for machine reflects their experience with the hard realities of achieving total pest elimination in difficult commercial accounts. (Note: the P.E.S.T.® Machine may also be purchased by those outside the pest control Industry, because utilizing boric acid does not require state certification for its use.) They created a machine that contains a large pot capable of holding several pounds of powder, thus cutting the amount of time needed to fill and maintain sufficient chemical on site. They built a particularly sturdy machine that runs off of any ordinary 110 outlet.

A STEP FURTHER

Then they went one step further, each machine comes with a lifetime warranty on each unit. In addition, they developed highly detailed protocols and a training program insuring that proper use of the P.E.S.T. ® machine, will allow a PCO to reportedly guarantee up to 99% pest elimination

With this guarantee, the U.S. Department of Defense has completed efficacy and durability tests, and has demonstrated interest in acquiring a large number of the units for use in military housing, barracks, and other facilities. It's already been used to treat the U.S.S. Enterprise.
